I want to use this as a way for you to keep up with what we’re doing in our class each day.  Because I can only imagine that if you were to ask your middle schooler “How was your day?” they'll reply with "Fine" and that’s about all you’ll get!  So now you can prompt them, “Hey, saw that you were learning about __________ in science today…”  And maybe...just maybe, you’ll get a little more out of them :) I will do my best to update with the learning objectives for the day, assignments, online resources, and upcoming tests.  Hope that this will help the students as well as those of you who are investing in their education!  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

I also use an App called "Remind 101" and it is "a safe way for teachers to text message students and stay in touch with parents."  My number and the student's/parent's number are anonymous.  To start getting these messages that I will send periodically, you text one of the following to the number (707) 515-7775.

If your child is in class 8-10 then you text @msfolt to the number in bold.
If your child is in class 8-11 then you text @198f to the number in bold.
If you child is in class 8-12 then you text @8f59e to the number in bold.
If your child is in class 8-13 then you text @8f59e to the number in bold.
